News: Cult of Luna, Satyricon, Carcass, Igorrr, Crowbar and Triptykon will perform at the strongest Damnation yet.

Swedish post?metal titans Cult of Luna will take the helm on Saturday, while Norwegian black metal legends Satyricon will close the weekend with a UK – exclusive performance on Sunday.

English death metal icons Carcass, French experimentalists Igorrr, US sludge stalwarts Crowbar and Swiss extreme metallers Triptykon also top one of the most ambitious and impressive Damnation line-ups to date.

These names join an already stacked roster, including Health, Walls of Jericho, Eyehategod, and Wolves In The Throne Room, all set to descend on Manchester’s BEC Arena on November 7 and 8. For two days, the venue will be transformed into a haven for heavy music fans, bringing together some of the most influential and forward?thinking acts in the scene.

With more than half the tickets already sold, the festival is set to sell out in record time.

Festival organiser Gavin McInally reflected on the months of preparation behind the announcement:

β€œWe promised ticket buyers who supported us early that we would repay that faith with the strongest line?up we could pull together. Promises made. Promises kept.

All six of these bands could headline Damnation without raising an eyebrow, so to have them all play the same year is obscene, never mind alongside the likes of Health, Eyehategod and Wolves In The Throne Room.

He added a final message for fans eager to secure their place:

If there’s any justice in our music scene, Damnation will sell out today, so please grab your phone, alert your friends and make sure they don’t miss out on the metal weekend of the year.”
